How about a simple thread to help out some 1911 newcomers.   Maybe a step by step photo of how to take them apart, put em back together and general maintnance and troubleshooting tips?

There's probably lots of people who try to take them apart like a sig/glock/beretta and need a little guidance.   Also including things like extractor tensioning and stuff would be helpful as well as mag selection.   Too many $5 gunshow magazines out there.
