Have been thinking about keeping my handguns down to a few basic calibers, mainly 45acp and 9mm. Maybe a 357magnum/38special and/or 22lr in the herd too. Here is a list of what I have:

#1 Para-Ordnance Tac Four 45acp
#2 Para-Ordnance P12 45acp
#3 SigPro SP2009 Two-Tone 9mm
#4 Taurus PT-111 Millenium 9mm
#5 Taurus PT-25 25acp
#6 Taurus PT-22 22lr
#7 Charter Arms Off-Duty 38special snub nose
#8 Davis Derringer 32acp

Which ones would you keep/get rid of and what would you add to the herd? Any constructive input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

i would say sell 5 7 8 and maybe 6 unless you want to hang on to a .22lr. then with the money you get off those pick up another 9mm--cz75 or even a sig p226 but the latter will likely take money out of pocket. or if you really want a .357mag you might want to think about a ruger blackhawk convertible. that way you can save some money by shooting 9mm out of the extra cylinder.

I see that you picked up a custom SP2009 from cdnn How's that working out for you? They have a $15 hi cap mag special at http://www.dallastacticalsupplies.com/

Didn't know about the extra cylinder on the Ruger Blackhawk. That's pretty neat being able to shoot 357 and 9mm out of the same gun. Never held a Sig 226, but have heard nothing but good things about them. The Sig P220 seems like a good one to get too.

I actually ordered the Two-Tone version from one of our dealers on arfcom, Teknic. Good guy to deal with. I don't have it in hand yet He did ship it off priority mail today. Should hit my FFL by Wednesday. Thanks for the heads up on the mags too.

I heard the 9mm para lacked accuracy in Blackhawk. 357 kicks ass.

Only if I had a Stetson and a nice pair of leather boots I'd jump on a Blackhawk myself

LOL to think about it, I need a good horse or a pony also. If you plan on the GA arfcom shoot this March, I look forward to meeting you (you won't mind me squeezing off some rounds on the Para Ord, would you?) I'll bring the Polish hand cannon that kicks like a mule.

Can't get a Glock 21...the damn grip is too wide for me. I have no problem with my Para-Ords. If I got a 45caliber Glock, it would have to be a Glock in 45gap, which is kinda defeating the purpose of streamlining my calibers. If I came across a good deal in 45gap, I might be more tempted though.

Sure, you can fire off a few rounds on the Para Ords. I think I'm going to need to get some Wolff springs for the mags though. They seem to be a little weak as of late. I'll have to check my schedule and see if I can make the shoot.
