Thinking of buying this off of a friend for a low price.  Are they any good?   Anyone have one or shot one?  They look fun.

UPDATE: Bought it! Paid $100.00 to my buddy for it.  Shot CCIs out of it and it ran like a champ.  Came with two mags, one is garbage and the other is near-garbage!  Why are the mags do damn expensive!!!!!

I had one for about 15 years.  It was finicky on which loads it like (it loved CCI Stingers and CCI minimags).  Mine had a steel frame and was a good subtrainer for my other P08s.

A buddy of mine had one for his wife. She really liked it & it seemed reliable with her. No clue what they went thru to get it reliable (swapping ammo, etc.), if anything.

I personally like the idea of a Luger-lookalike in rimfire...............

They're not as good as the ERMA Werke 22 P08 clones, but then again ERMA was the OEM for the .22 conversion kits for the centerfire Lugers.

Magazines are the biggest problem in my experience, the lips deform VERY easily. 30 seconds with a leatherman by someone who knows the angle, and you're good to go.

(3 trips to the range and you'll figure out the right angles :D)

As far as being a good deal, it matters just how low the price is.

I have one I bought in the late 60's, I've put literally thousands of rounds thru it without any problems. It does prefer the CCI Mini-mags over other ammo but with the Mini-mags it's an accurate and fun to shoot firearm.

My father owned one..it was a bit picky about what ammo it would automate with. Was ok otherwise. I wasn't just overly impressed with pop's gun...but it was ok.

Not in the same league as a Ruger MkII, or Browning Buckmark.

Had one and loved the mini-mags, not much else. As long as they were plated, it ran like a raped ape.
Extra mags are SPENDY. Plan on paying $40-50 for an extra.

Can you shoot it before you buy?

Screaming deal, my friend. Where are the pics again? You should take your buddy out for a beer or
two at that price.

I've tried to warn others in the past that these are not the best made guns. But I guess they must think I know nothing about Lugers?

Have one that has been in the family for about 40 years. No it is not a real Luger, it's a fun to shoot pistol that is a pretty damn close copy as far as size & weight. You have to remember this pistol was engineered over 40 years ago, and sold for a whopping $60-70. They are a little ammo picky, but there are many .22's out there that won't function with just anything either. MIne likes CCI Mini-Mags, CCI SGB, Federal Auto Match, and WInchester. Most people who say they jam don't properly clean them. The toggle action comes out of the frame and is easily cleaned with aerosol cleaners like Birchwood Casey Gun Scrub.

I still have the factory holster that came with the gun, magazine charger, manual,  and 2 mags. If you would like a photocopy of the manual just IM me & I will gladly mail you a copy. It has detailed instruction on stripping and proper cleaning; that toggle action needs to be cleaned periodically & lightly lubed to run properly.  These guns came in 2 different barrel lengths, mine is the shorter of the two.

The toggle action is very fast, you can dump an 11 rd mag in literally 3-4 seconds with it's short light trigger. When I was a kid my brother and I would shoot it on our property and would see who could dump a mag the fastest
