Anybody else see the recent Handguns article featuring the nickel plated Springfield "1911" in 38 Super?

I'm sorry but my bling bling meter pegged on that thing...I'm seriously thinking about buying one.

At first glance, it looked like a highly polished stainless, which I would prefer.
(hint to SA)
If you never owned a nickled piece, there are some minor drawbacks.
Over the long haul, yellowing, spiderwebbing and peeling may occur.
Don't even let some bore cleaners near it.
I wonder how theirs will hold up?
Nice effort by SA but wouldn't a better result come in stainless for durability?
She is sharp, none the less... let's say super.

I like this one myslef. It runs around $3000 - $3600 and is available in 38 super and 45acp.
