To why glock has never made a factory gun either

G19 frame, 17 slide

g26 frame, 19 slide

Both seem like a total no brainier
Vs,
Frankly,
Some other models that seem to have had very short and very limited tenures

I want the opposite.

Glock 19 Grip with Glock 26 slide. Less slide to poke out under my t-shirt when carried OWB.

Honestly, chopping a glock grip is super easy, even with just hand tools.

They will make them right after the Carbine and after they add a paddle mag release.

Because nobody would buy them.

And you would be wrong in that assumption.
I did just that to a G17,cut down to a G19 grip.

Someone has had to try putting a 26 slide on a G19 frame-I have a Gen II 26 and a Gen III 19-I'll check and see if it fits-what's the worse that can happen?

Ok, so one person would buy them.

Pretty much. The market would not be able to support having so many models. Yes they might sell some but no where near as many as the 17/19/26. It would not be cost effective this is what killed HP Dell is the amount of models of computers they offer they can make a lot of good computers but no great ones. Glock will not follow that business model because they want to make money.

I remember when people said I'd buy an OD Glock and then nobody did.

Now if Glock went to a system like the P320 where you could choose your frame and slide then the idea would work.

It would open up a whole new can of worms... finger grooved, 19 frame to fit a 17 slide, paddle mag release or button, etc etc all kind of combinations could be possible.

I am not sure what circles you run in, but cut down 17s are very popular,
As is lamenting a cut down 17 grip as not feeling as good as a true 19 grip.

Cut down Glock grips, that's a new one on me. Cool idea!

I sure did not invent it.

I got my hands on my first 19 in the early 90s.

It's a great gun.

But a 17 that takes 19 mags is highly desirable to many and there are likely tens of thousands of cut downs out there.

I was hoping Aim would get some gen 2 17s in and I would do another one.

Edit
Some cut down 19s to take 26 mags out there as well
