[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Slide resistance on a 5.7?

I am trying to find a semi auto for a female shooter who has difficulty racking the slides on most handguns. I was wondering how hard the slide is on a 5.7 compared an average 9mm? I have located one to borrow so she can try it when I get home, but I don't know when that is gonna work out, so in the mean time I thought I would check in here. Thanks.

Nobody? C'mon guys, get a couple guns out and have ladies around try them. They can give the best gauge on how tough they are.

I just compared a new fiveseven (50 rounds through it) to my old Ruger P85MKII (unsure of rounds but a lot!) and the P85 is definitely easier to rack the slide on. I'm sure it is probably due to the fact that the P85 is well used and the fiveseven is brand new.
My wife greatly prefers the feel and recoil of the fiveseven. It is lighter and fits her hand better.

Most women I've let handle my five seven absolutely love it since they have confidence that the round isn't going to kick their hand off.

The slide pull has, so far, not been an issue for anyone. It's certainly nothing like my XD40 tac.

Thanks for the input guys. I haven't gotten the chance to borrow one yet so maybe this weekend.
