My wife bought me a Sig P220 super match as a wedding present. Beautiful gun. I noticed some slight dings on the grip screws and on the rear sight adjustment screw. I called Sig and they told me they would send me new grip screws and they'd see what they could do about the rear sight. They weren't sure if just a new screw could be found it if they would have to replace the whole sight.

They took my info but couldn't send anything out because I didnt have the gun's serial number on me. This was inns Friday. I called back Monday and git a different person. He said he would forward the info to the woman who was handling my claim.

That was 2 weeks ago. Am I unreasonable to think they should have called or emailed me to verify what they would be able to send to me or to let me know that they had actually sent something?  I can't remember the last time I got something sent to me that I didn't get some sort of a notification when it was sent.

All I can say is good luck.  My last and only experience with Sig's customer service was horrible.  See my link below.

Uh oh. I'll check the mail for a few more days. I'm in CA so it could take a little time to get something from them. I'll call them Friday if I haven't gotten anything by then.

Also, it is absolutely ABSURD that you should know to remove grip screws from a new pistol to put thread lock on. Especially for what the average Sig costs.

I think that you might be being a little unreasonable. you had some dings in your grips screws and the screw on the sights. they are screws they may get dinged up. the gun functions perfectly i assume? sure give them a call people can get busy and its possible your info never got forwarded to the lady who was handling your claim. and it might be wise to ask for her by name when calling them. but if the gun functions perfectly i wouldn't worry as much about a few screws.

Personally, I'd just order a set of hex head grip screws. Less likely to mess them and the grips up with a slip of the screw driver.

I know they're just screws, but its a $1,300 pistol. Part of its the principle that they should have used a little care assembling it. Like buying a brand new car and seeing a scratch on a wheel from where the guy slipped with the wrench. Not cool.

I'll give it some more time before calling. It's just that after talking to some people about Sig service I started getting a little worried.

I thought about this. They even have them in stainless, not sure if it would look right.

The idea she had when giving me this is that yeah I would shoot it but that it would be like an heirloom. Something I could pass down, so I want it to be perfect.

I bought a NIB Sig 220 Stainless from that place in TX in 2004––It came with Hoque Grips and I wanted the Sig Factory grips––Sooo, I call Sig and guy says he will send me Sig Grips and Screws for $ 000.000.

I wait and wait and Call back 3 weeks later and I'm told again they will send––That was 7 years ago––LOL ....

It's so ridiculous it's actually funny.  ETA: Gun was $750.00

I called Sig in the mid nineties because my grip srews on my carry P228 were rusting.
The cs agent I talked to gave me a phone number and hung up.
The number was for Brownells.

Sig service has always sucked.

Good luck, beautiful gun.

I'm surprised that you have not received them if they stated they would send them out.  I have many sigs and have dealt with Sig CS on a number of occasions over the years and must say I have never been wronged not once.

The fact that SIG has undergone some changes is true and hell anything is possible but I'd be surprised if you give them the S/N of a new gun and asked for nicer screws etc. that they would honestly not send them.

I had a slide replaced free of charge due to a cosmetic issue without ever doing more than sending a few pics and shipping the whole gun to them, Did I mention IT WAS USED when I bought it!
Yes they knew this fact...Victoria is that Lady I have dealt with a number of times over the last 5-10 yrs. maybe, she was always very helpful

I hope you get what your after but even if you don't you will have a easier time coping when you give it that Ding or scratch

Maybe just buy another ...Shoot one, Fondle other
