Hey guys,
I have a quick question.  The only weapon my agency allows me to carry off duty is the Sig P232, .380 cal.  I have shot one before but only a couple of shots.  Does anybody have any experience with them, good bad or indifferent?  I know, .380 cal is not my first choice but it is all we get.  Opinions please, on the gun and cal.

Thanks

They are good guns.  The heel mag release takes a bit of getting used to.  And there is no external slide stop so it can be hard to clear a jam.  They are accurate and point very well.  They are also much nicer to the hand than the Walther PP series.  Because it is a blowback pistol the recoil is sharper than might be expected.  Hogue grips make it a lot more pleasant to shoot.

The caliber is not very good.  It is about the least powerful that most people think acceptable for personal protection.  It will do its job if you do yours.
