Can anyone who has one or has shot it tell me a bit about it? I understand what it is but would like really to know if this is a factory modification or a simple part, like the short sig trigger CDNN is selling? If its not just a part, anyone know if it can be purchased and installed in a standard Sig of the same model? Thanks for the help.

Hi. My understanding is the SRT can be retrofitted, but of course you've got to send it away. Check out Grayguns. The "short trigger" is not the same thing as the SRT; it's a replacement trigger for smaller-handed people.

I have both a P229 Elite, with the SRT, and a P226 Equinox, without the SRT. Personally, in rapid fire, I can't see a difference, but then I'm not a defensive pistol game competitor. I have tested the two triggers side-by-side, and IMO the difference between the SA resets is small. You probably could get scientific and use calipers to measure the difference, but I haven't done that. To my fingers, they both reset very quickly.
