Hey all,

About 3 months ago, I posted asking for leads on trade in P220s.  You guys steered me to Summit Gun Broker and we did some business.  I picked up a well used 220 for $399.00 and I finally got a chance to take it to the range just last week.  I can tell you that all the hype about the 220 is TRUE.  It is an amazingly accurate pistol, and just damn sexy.  One of these days, I will get the time to take both the Sig and a 1911 to the range to do a side by side comparison.  I've read several, but would like to see the results in MY hand.

Thanks for the info that lead to the new love of my firearms life.

KA.

Aluminum Hogue grips:

I see in a photo above that the new guns have a beavertail.  This is one of the few guns that cannot hammer bite me in the stock form.

P220's are fantastic pistols. My 220 is mainly a BBQ gun but do carry it every great once in a while.

I'm in the market for a full sized 9mm pistol with a rail to complement my .40 P229.  But I keep drooling over the 220s on Summit gun broker, great looking pistols plus they look like the de cocker doesn't make as bad a hump as the 229.

Glad you are happy with the P220.  Early this year I bought a new DA/SA P220 (Carry SAS) and, I never thought I'd say this, but i shoot on par with my 1911s (which are great).  The DA trigger pull is like shooting an old S&W revolver, long, but smooth.

Owned a 220 for a while.  Bought a Sig 1911 and came straight home and went and shot both it and the 220.  Walked in the door and said to my wife, "Still like the 220 better!"

P220R is my sight stand gun.

It's German made, night sights, a Surefire X300, and Hogue grips, loaded with double-tap XPB ammo.

Love my P220 Compact SAS. It goes in the truck with me everywhere and is carried quite frequently. Great gun and very accurate.

I have a P220 Elite SAO I bought new in 2008 or 2009. These came with Rosewood Grips. It is the best fitting handgun I own.

I love it so much that I recently picked up a P220 Combat with a factory threaded barrel.

on edit: My P220 Elite SAO with the Sig threaded barrel installed, and Sig plastic grip panels. Thus saving my Rosewoods Grips

My 220 and 227 Enhanced Elite pretty much got me out of the 1911 business. Blasphemy, I know.  Oh well.  Superior handguns.

Oh, and FAT TRIGGERS FOR ME!

Sadly I haven't had a 220 in ten years and that was my favorite.... But now I'm waiting to see if they release a 220 Legion.....that just looks better than Hommade gravy and biscuits

This is ARFCOM, buy one P220 in any flavor to get you by, then buy a Legion P220 if they bring one out.
