Hi gents, lets see what your packing in terms of the different colored polymer framed USPs and USPc's.  Thanks to you guys and your bad influencing ways, here is my new Urban Grey or as I like to call Urban Ghey USPc .40

Damn that looks new. I really love the black rail adapter. It really make the pistol look very sexy. When I get a colored frame I'm definitely throwing one on my future USP40T colored.

So far it has amazed me how much I give up in ergos to the SK..as a lefty with the new uspc....and just the opposite as far as the trigger goes.  This trigger is so freaking sweet or my SK trigger is so freaking bad....bottom line, I am seeing huge differences between these two guns....about the thing so far I notice they share is mags....and the HK logos  What color frame you gunning for pal.....I am biased now clearly but prior to this one I would have said OD, those are damn sexy.

I call it WV Brown.

It is strange how the triggers on the USPs are better generally, the reset point is what really gets me. I like that mags are completely interchangeable. The sk feels great with a X-Grip and a mag from a USPc.

I'd love a tan or gray frame. But honestly if I can get a good price I'd get whatever. They all look good.

Thanks  The urban grey really is an interesting color.....I tried to capture some diff. sources of light to show that but the color seems to become gray in direct light, and then in the shadows....slowly fades into a more blue tint.

They were released in limited amts. I will try and find the numbers on them...but I imagine you just have to watch gb and the ee here and such.

What is the white oring around the recoil guide rod assembly on my new uspc?

That is a beautiful FDE model....I remember awhile ago a full size model tan framed one was for sale where I bought my grey one but it was much more expensive.

How come I see pics without em and my SK I would think would have one as well but does not....is this optional, say if I have hair on my chest, I eat a pink steak can I remove it?

Leave it in there. It reduces wear and tear.

Trust me-You do not want to take that recoil assembly apart. It is a pain in the fucking ass. I have changed out both recoil springs on my 45 and 40 c and unless you are mechanically inclined, you will end up spending $90 for a new one.

When you wear out the recoil spring-if you wear it out-contact me. You buy the spring and the retaining clip-About $20 worth of parts, and I will do it for you.

You the absolute man pal  Tons of help, so thanks much.

I would not ask for your advice if I did not take it so consider the recoil rattler thingy left in

There were only 500 in each model and caliber offered and not all models were offered in all colors.
Here is the breakdown as I have it.

Colored framed USP/C/Mk23
Same for all the other cal/colors. 500 were made.

Gray: USPf .45, USPc .40 (1000)

Green: USPf .45, USPf .40, USPc .40, USP .45 Tactical (2000)

Desert Tan: USPf .45, USPf .40, USPc .40, USP .45 Tactical, Mark 23 (2500)

The tan was the most common with 2500 pistols made in that color. There were only 500 of each caliber/color. So 500 tan MK23's. Tan was the only Mark 23 offered besides black. As far as how much it is worth depends on how much they have been selling for.

Here is one you will not see anywhere because it was never made (bottom).  I was trying to see if there was any way to make that gray frame look better; didn't work:

And because nobody has posted one yet:

That is F-ing beautiful....I love these in the OD, as mentioned above...it would have been my first choice.

Did they even make the C's in the OD?

Hehehe....I was going to put in my org. topic reply asking for BigBore to come drop the official numbers.  It was your stuff on HKpro that I learned about these grey ones and I linked to it in my org. thread inquiring on these.

Thanks for weighing in Oracle

That collection of yours is simply ah inspiring....so nice

The recoil buffer is not optional and you should not remove it.  Doing so will cause frame damage and HK will not replace your frame under any kind of warranty if you remove the buffer.  The guns that have them have them for a reason, reduce frame battering, but not all models do have the buffer.  The full size do not nor does the Mark 23 and the P2KSK.  HK uses a different recoil assembly set up in those pistols so if you have one on yours, don't be a idiot-no polite way to put it-and try to remove it.  The HK designers know a little bit more about how their pistols should work for maximum reliability and longevity than the laymen and occasional shooter.

The gun actually I believe had it on it when they received it....however even something as obscure as a usp rail adapter I've found has a good chance at being at Marks....I went several weeks ago, just wanting to see about any kind of metal coloring product because I did want to order and have shipped the Brownell's Alumhyde II.....go in, ask.....Dude comes back with a can of Alumhyde still sealed in the bag for 2 dollars cheaper than  Brownells sells it for online.  That I guess is why they have so much of my damn money

BIGBORE......thanks very much for your info on the recoil buffer and advice has been taken.  Kinda strange having it rattle but I bet Dog1 is dead on....just takes a lil time to get used to.  Perhaps like the tuning fork sound on Blackouts or the sproooong in the buttstock of ARs.

I honestly go in HTF all the time...buy xtm panels...small detents, and a few transfers...friendly folks.

Marks, the last two times have killed me.....went in one time for a can metal coloring paint....left with NF, this time I go in for some TAP FPD...leave with this hk  They honestly get unbeatable deals on those few NFs that randomly come avail. as well as this used gun part....tons of deals ive seen now.

Anyway I am Hoover as well and go shoot for free early in am's at the Cahaba River WMA if you ever want to go blasting HKs sometime

Great article I forgot to post in the beginning of this thread...besides this forum, this article on Sunday night pushed me over the edge.
SERIOUSLY READ IT
Pics from article since we still do not have enough COLORED HKS posted yet
