Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - S&W 4006 Light Mounting Options

A buddy at work asked me how to go about mounting a light on his S&W 4006.  He'd like to mount a TLR-1, but no rails.  What are his options?

Surefire used to make dedicated lights for pistols back before rails were standard.  They were gun specific and attached by clamping to the trigger guard.  I'm pretty sure that they had a model for G3 S&Ws.

Good luck trying to find one now though.
