Can Sig P226's take +P+ power level 9mm ammo? I bought some ranger stuff, and they just had the +P+ level, i dont see why they cant, as they are all steel.

Why shoot any other type?

I've been feeding my Sig p220 +P Hungarian (about 600rnds so far) I love it.

Actually, P226’s typically have aluminum frames.

Still, they can handle American made commercial +P+ 9MM ammo with no problems at all.

Be careful around foreign made +P+ labeled 9MM ammo since some of it is repackaged sub gun ammo and is really hot!!

Obviously, +P+ ammo will cause faster wear than lower pressure rounds.

Sig 226ST with 9mm Ranger 127gr +P+ is my HD handgun.  I've put at least 1,000 rounds through mine just to be sure.

Sure it will handle it, if you shoot it often replace your recoil spring sooner than usual (less than 1000 rnds)
