Where are the body & slides for SA 1911s made

Steel forging for slides and frames for the "normal" 1911s.  Steel forgings for slides and aluminum forgings (castings?) for the frames for lightweight models.

Imbel Brazil. The NM serial numbered guns are fitted and finish assembled here in the states. Good quality steel in Brazil. Nothing wrong with where they come from, don't let anyone tell you different.
