I want to build a custom MKII or MkIII but I dont want to buy the gun because I plan on changing most of it. Is there anywhere I can get on? My search came up with nothing.

Thank You

I've never seen just a "lower" for sale buy ruger.
Might be better off just buying a used Mark II/III snice you are planing on replacing most of the parts.

I'll check with my gun dealer tonight. He is a big ruger dealer.

*update*
Asked Dealer if he could get a Mark III just lower half, and in his words "nope".

There is a gripframe, bolt and mag on Ebay right  now, but the starting bid ($175) is more than a used complete standard model goes for.

I believe you can have a stock receiver rebarrelled, but I would rather have an entire new top-end from Volquartsen or Tactical-Solutions.  Too bad this involves buying two guns.  I really wish Ruger would sell 22/45 grip frames.

Why don't they? The serial number is not on them is it? I would think it would be classified as a part and not a firearm.

There are a bunch of parts for the MKII/MKIII that Ruger won't sell.  I guess they don't want to compete with Tactical Solutions and Volquartsen with their own parts.
