Quoted: What do you mean last batch? Are you going to quit offering them or just going to be on a one off custom basis after this?

I mean this will be it, no more ever again. I have always wanted to offer this 1911, and RRA making them exactly as I wanted was almost a dream come true. You have to really appreciate a custom 1911 to realize what I was offering. Its vary satisfying hearing back from folks like DocGun, as his "type" was my intended market.
A kid getting what he wants, and a business owner looking at the books are two different things. The pricing RRA offers dealers on 1911s, is on average 1/2 of what I would get from any other 1911 shop(Brown, Wilson, Baer, etc.). For special orders that are good as sold before they arrive, this OK. Every batch of ADCO 1911s I get ends up in my inventory too long, as not many people are willing to drop over $1000, for a 1911 as "plain" as these. The money I put into these 1911s does not make it worth it for the price I sell them. This goes for me stocking any RRA 1911 any more.
I'm talking with the folks at RRA, and hope we can work out something that benefits us both, but for now, my RRA 1911 stocking days are over.
I would be happy to take any custom orders for one of these individually in the future, but the cost will be significantly higher. To order from RRA, you would have to start with the Elite Commando as the base, and (per new RRA requirements) submit a 50% down payment which they get to sit on for the 6 months they take to build your pistol.
