I own RRA 1911.  The gun is very accurate and extremely reliable, but to zero the point of impact, I have had to adjust the Bomar rear blade over to the point where astetically, it looks unappealing.  I may be getting to anal on this, but I have dropped over $2,000 for this gun and feel that it should look and shoot like a dream.  I have sent this gun back to RRA a couple of times and everytime they say that have fixed it but the range session proves something different.

Can you not drift the front sight?

I could drift the front sight, but it is blended with the slide and again, it would look asethetically unpleasing.

Go to the range and try doing a little of both, adjusting rear sight then front. Also I would suggest that you IM hobbs5624, he does 1911 gunsmithing and may have another idea.

A) put it in a rest if you're not sure they got it right, or if it's you...

B) it can be refinished after you move the sights. No worries.
