Took my RIA full size to the range yesterday.
Only put 62 rounds down range.
ZERO problems.
Combo of Independance and my handloads.
Shot nice, not bad at all for five bills.

Ignore that dude.

I am glad you like it.  A mil-spec 1911 is pretty much a mil-spec 1911.

Rock Islands are great pistols! You can't beat the price. I am not a big fan of the "middle of the road" 1911s. I either go for the Rock Islands and GIs, or a nice full / semi custom like the Springfield Pro or Wilson CQB. Happy to hear that you are satisfied with it and that it performed well at the range, but where are the pictures?

RIA slides aren't cast.  They are extruded Steel.  The frames are cast.  Much like Caspian, Essex, etc...(maybe not the same precision casting and CNC work as Caspian, but a proven concept.

Good guns for the money.

After only 62 rounds down range i trust this RIA a hell of alot MORE than I do my Fusion that cost three times more.
I hit what my lousy eyes were aiming for and it worked every time I pulled the trigger.I have never been able to even come close to that happening with my Fusion.(The working part.My Fusion is very accurate,it just does not work.)

I get to go get mine on 4Dec! Its my first 1911.  I agree a 1911 is pretty much a 1911.  My next one I get is gonna be a home build....thinking caspian frame and slide.
