Alhtough I have been shooting for almost 30 years, I have never had any fromal pistol training.  My military service training was all rifle.  I shoot well at the range, at least compared to people who have very little familiarty, and I certainly feel comfortable that in a real life situation I would hit the BG but I want to improve to compete well at the IDPA events.  Suggestions on tightening up my shot group?

I would go to the local matches and talk to the guys there about how they go into it and what helped them.
