Alright, I'm going to admit, I am no good with this stuff, so I am begging and pleading for your advise! h.gif

I just bought a Bersa Thunder380 this afternoon and someone on another site told me to remove the magazine disconnect safety. So two questions come with this.

1. Would you agree on removing the magazine disconnect safety on this weapon?

2. If so, how do I go about doing such a thing? (or should I bring it to someone who knows how already and let them do it?)

I am not big on removing magazine safeties from pistols...

they are there for a reason.

(and, I have a 4 yr old and a 2 yr old in my home)

I have no kids in the house, I'm the youngest here at 26. But the gun is going to be used for concealed carry, which is why I am curious. It has two other safeties on it, though.

I'm all for it.  magazine safeties are downright dangerous on a carry piece

IIRC, there is a "C" shaped spring underneath the right grip panel, and once this is removed, the magazine safety is disabled.

The magazine pushes up on a bar that disables the trigger. I just removed the bar and its spring. Works like a charm.

Magazine safetys are unnecessary.
