Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Refinishing a 92fs

I just got a 92fs for $480 used, but it was new.  Didn't even have any slide wear on the barrel or any chamber wear at all.  I'm curious about duracoating the slide OD green, since all of my guns are in the OD and black scheme (or will be shortly).  Any advice/experience with this?

It will work fine. I have done many 92F's in both DuraCoat and KG GunKote. I have one in the shop right now that is due to be refinished in CeraKote (which is now my favorite coating). The only thing you have to watch is getting the coating too thick. Which is very easy to do with DuraCoat. Remember light even passes until you get complete coverage.
