I`m looking for recommendations for a Kydex OWB holster for a Glock 19. What brand are you using? What did you base your decision on when you purchased the holster?

X-Concealment C Series is one of the narrowest profile OWB holsters and it holds the gun very close to the body. Those are my two main requirements for OWB holsters.  I carry a G19 daily in one. Mine developed a crack after almost two years of daily carry and they replaced it without question.

My favorite OWB holster.
Kydex front, leather back for comfort.

I have one for my 17 and I plan on getting one for my 20 that I'm picking up next week.  The X concealment C series is easily the best OWB holster that I've used.  Far better than Raven and Bravo IMO

I'll check it out.

The Daytona so far has been the most comfortable for me.

For a good holster that might not be the best for concealment, but excels everywhere else, look at the Comp Tac paddle.

Comp-Tac makes a good game holster.  I used to use a straight drop belt holster for games.

I a JM Kydex and a Raven that I really like.  I like the JM better.

I have a Raven Concealment holster that I like quite a bit that I use it for classes and when I out in the woods.  It is a little bit bulky for concealment in my opinion.  The main reason that I chose the Raven was because they offered an option for a flashlight mounted on the gun. It gets dark when leaving the woods at dusk and I wanted to be able to carry a gun with a light on it. Sometimes I need to go check on something at night.  Every day carry was not its intended purpose.  It is a real quality piece in my opinion and the price is reflective of that. I really had to bite the bullet clicking that checkout button. Another reason that I bought it was because it was being  recommended here on ARFCOM at the time.
No regrets buying it.
I had it for a little over a year.

What do you plan on using it for?   This should be the main consideration when purchasing a holster.  It's a pretty much a duty/tactical style holster without a retention strap.  It can be used for concealed carry but I tend to like the Crossbreed for that but that is for inside the waistband.

Raven makes a damn good holster with a long track record, but kydex ain't rocket science. There are a lot of great makers.

Raven and X Concealment C are my favorites.

I use a G-Code holster for my G19 Gen4 thats made in NC. For IWB, when I turn 21 (In 6 months), I will be purchasing an Alien Gear holster. I like the G-code holster a lot. I was recommended to check them out by posting a similar thread of what holster to go with for open carry.

Here is my G-Code XST with a large paddle with the security band up and down. I chose this holster due to safety while outdoors. I keep the band down when I'm just walking around and not doing anything too extreme since it is secure from tension. When I am in a boat, kayak, or doing something where I can possibly fall, then I flip the band up to give extra security. The band can be quickly flipped down by a push of a lever that is spring loaded. you won't even realize it is there. Also, all of the G-Code holsters come with a lifetime warranty.

I have a bravo concealment, which works really well.

Then they partnered up with that loser Cory from RTT

This. I've got a guy at work that makes them. I'm not spending a ton for an owb kydex holster. Spend it on a good iwb holster.

I got one of these paddle holsters for every handgun.  They just go on fast and easy, hold the weapon well, and keep it reasonably close to the body.  They cost around $20 bucks each with free shipping and come from Israel.  I haven't worn one out yet.  If a pistol isn't inside my pocket, generally I use one of these.  I can draw very fast from them.

photos are off the web.

I prefer Bravo Concealment.

I own a box full of kydex for Glocks. Local guys, DSG, Crossbreed, G Code etc etc. Picked up a Raven Phantom used from a buddy who sold his 19 about six months ago. I'm done trying kydex holsters now. I wear the Raven everyday and its the best OWB holster for me that I have ever used. I actively avoided Raven for years due to the wait/hype and because Kydex is Kydex but I am a full on fan boy now.

The differences are subtle and may not make any difference to some people. I am pretty picky about gear though. The Raven is the perfect thickness of kydex, the perfect amount of retention for me and the fasteners dont work loose. All of the garage built holsters I have bought from local guys were ok but there was always one thing or another I didnt care for.

The Raven just works and feels perfect. I'll be ordering a couple more at some point for a 17 and a 1911 with X300's if I can't find them floating around used.

For a weapon light mounted holster it doesn't get much better than KT-Mech.

For a standard holster, K-Rounds is where it's at. Every other brand of pancake type Kydex I've used has failed to pull the pistol close to my body. Either the rear sight and slide sticks way out or the butt sticks way out. The K-Rounds holster I have is the only one that doesn't do that AND uses heavy Kydex. The Blade-Tech Eclipse does the same thing with thinner .060 Kydex.
