So a few weeks ago I got lucky (I guess) and found a ramjet + afterburner for a gen 5 in stock at "normal" price. So I ordered it up.

Appearance looks good and it went together without a hitch, then I went to shoot it.
There was a quite substantial POI shift to the right, so much so that it would cause you to miss a C zone sized steel target at 25-30 yards.

I questioned if maybe it was just me on that day so I grabbed some paper and shot it from a bench along side the factory barrel at 10 yards.
Factory was dead nuts on
Ramjet had the same POI shift to the right, at 10 yards it throws my shots on the borderline of A-C zones, around 4-5 inches to the right.
Tried another factory barrel from a different G19 - dead nuts on.

So trying to figure out whats going on I grab a set of calipers and start measuring things and find the locking lug of the ramjet has some pretty big differences.

So I contact them to RMA it, in the box I included the pictures of my measurements.
They have had it in their possession now for 2 weeks and I have yet to hear back.

In the meantime I started googling for other issues and it seems there are a few people within the last month that have had the same exact problem. One guy RMA'd his as well and the replacement he got back had the same problems.
So i'm wondering if they had a bad batch come off a machine and they just get tossed in packaging instead of inspecting to move more product.

My pistol is a non MOS version so the amount I would have to drift the rear sight would have it hanging out of the dovetail.
I guess im curious if anyone else has had these problems and also ranting because I expected more from a $400 barrel and comp.

Also before anyone says "OP just does not know how to shoot a glock"

if you are a reloader or have a set of calipers I would be curious to see what the locking lug on your barrel measures at.

There was some noticable wear on the right side of the barrel where it was being pushed that way on mine after about 40 rounds.

Factory barrel measures

left side: .2550"
right side: .2515"

so factory is within .0035"
radian was off .008"

I am noticing this last batch they released, and it looked to be a big batch, has caused a big uptick in complaints about the product.

Mine has been perfect luckily.

You just don't know how to shoot a Glock

I think there's an issue with where you are measuring. As I try to measure mine in the same place as you (putting the mic in the circular recess where the guide rod sits), the profile of the caliper tips causes the mic measurement to change depending on how deep the calipers are. I can't get a consistent measurement this way. When I put the caliper tip in front of the circular recess, I get the same measurement every time.

For what it's worth, my Agency mid-line barrel measures 0.2905 on the right (ejection) side and 0.290 on the left side

its a difficult area to measure for sure. I was putting the leading prong of my caliper in the deepest spot of the locking lug, technically its the last part of the barrel to engage the locking block and the bullet has left the barrel already. But I mostly wanted to highlight how inconsistent it was.

What I really wanted to measure was the consistency of the slope that unlocks the barrel on each side and how quickly that lug engages the locking block, but I dont have any way to measure that with any consistency.

I'm just hoping my RMA sparks them to start investigating what they send out so I hopefully get something back that will work - I would hope they look over whatever they send me back instead of just grabbing one off a shelf and throwing it in a box but who knows.

At this point if I get something back that does the same thing my only real recourse is to sell it, even though I know it had problems or to buy an additional locking block and get to work with a file to try an match the engagement of the barrel lug.

I'll have to see what my G45 factory barrel does compared to this. Factory barrel was spot on, but I've only shot the ramjet barrel with a red dot. Next trip to the range I'll see what it does with irons. And just to mention, the POI was spot on with factory sights and when I installed the suppressor height sights.

I have two Gen 5's and they shoot like laser beams. No POI change from factory.

So sample of TWO!

How long have you had them?

I still have a running theory that this most recent batch was where the problems started. Oddly enough looking on their site to contact them they have the current job listings.

Update 1

Well I heard back from Radian today, 3 weeks to the day after receiving my barrel/comp.

They said they went out to test it yesterday and had "minimal" POI shift that was considered acceptable with a red dot equipped G19, but had feeding problems and are sending me a new one because of feeding problems.

I never experienced feeding problems, just couldn't hit the target from POI shift.

I replied back asking if the dot on the test pistol was already equipped with a ramjet and zero'd for that or if it was zero'd with a factory barrel.
Also asked if they were able to have a machinist go over the barrel again to see if they could find the measurements I included pictures of in the box.

I also asked what an acceptable amount of POI shift is.

Hopefully the replacement will not have the same problems but im not getting my hopes up.
I saw a post where someone went through the exact same problems as me and the replacement didnt change anything so they just sold it.

I went to the range today and I had about a .25" change of POA=POI from the factory barrel. I was shooting about .25" lower with the new radian compared to the factory barrel..

Radian was absolutely hounded by social media users calling for more inventory over the summer. Did someone rush their assigned qc process? I think we have our answer.

Not so fast. Mine was just delivered to me 3 weeks ago and was nothing short of perfect yesterday at the range. It functioned 100% and it's POI was only .25" low and that might have been from me anticipating recoil that wasn't there

Presuming your POI is due to user error: you received a to-spec barrel whereas op evidently didn't. That's a quality control issue that you (and I) fortunately avoided. Love this thing.

Another small update since my last.

They replied back to me again and said the test pistol was already equipped with a ramjet + afterburner and zero'd for that using a holosun. So if it was already zero'd for an out of spec barrel there would be no POI shift.

He reported back there was a 1 inch shift to the right.

He also said an acceptable amount of POI shit should be around an inch or so.

My theory on what happened is Radian had a barrel contract already with someone who was making quality parts to spec.
Then because of demand they set up another contract with someone else who is making out of spec barrels.
Then to top that off one of the job postings on their site is for a QC supervisor.

The replacement barrel is out for delivery today but I wont be able to shoot until this weekend (out of town)
I did order a spare locking block, locking block pin, and a slide lock (take down lever) to have a few spare parts to swap out and see if there is any change since they all touch the barrel. Also ordered a 9mm bore sight laser to test with.

I have 3 glock 19's i'm going to test it with this weekend one of which is a friends 19x with a ramjet he ordered the same day from the same vendor but he has yet to shoot it. so we will see what shakes out.

My two were from early batches, when they were hard to find anywhere.

Final update

I figured I would post a final update in case anyone has been following my post or in case someone comes across it in the future.
I received my replacement barrel and comp, almost 1 month exactly from when I sent it out.

I initially opened the package and got pretty annoyed because the finish looked like crap. This is their new DLC finish, it does get a little darker I found after cleaning and some oil.
You can see it next to a friends 19x which has the older Nitride finish who also asked me to test his pistol since he bought his at the same time from the same vendor as mine that had to be RMA'd.

It almost looked like raw metal with no finish.
I will also note my RMA barrel was made from someone else, the "9MM" stamp on the barrel was in a different font and dimpled text instead of smooth numbers.

Next I popped my laser in to see what things were looking like.

Factory barrel which represents the POI I see from this barrel.

Ramjet - not as severe as the last barrel. But again I was pretty annoyed with this from a $400 "upgrade"

now on to the range.
Shooting was done at 10 yards off a picnic table with a bag to rest the pistol on. not perfect but it will tell me what I need to know.

G19 G5
3 round group with factory barrel
5 round group with the ramjet

This was much less severe than my other barrel, the barrel I sent back to RMA wouldnt have even been on the 8.5 x 11 paper.
Roughly 1 inch to the right which matches with what the bore laser showed before.

Here is my friends G19X from the earlier picture. Again 3 round group with factory barrel and 5 rounds from the ramjet.
His is actually really close despite my flyer.

I did later replace the locking block in my pistol with a brand new factory one just to see if it would make a difference. It may have moved the group .25" or so further left but it was negligible.

My final conclusion
Radian says to expect about a 1" POI shift so it looks like i'm not going to get any better than this.
I admit that I am a bit of a perfectionist with things. I dont want things to be right, I want them to be exactly right. But I also understand this is well within being "combat accurate"

My original ramjet had a shift of about 5 inches right and 8 inches up at the same distance so it was off around 12.5" at 25 yards
They definitely have some QC stuff going on with trying to meet demand so I feel you have about a 50/50 chance in getting a product that may or may not have a problem.
I feel like not a lot of people are seeing this POI shift because so many people run dots on pistols and just adjust the dot to account for the POI shift.

After reading several forums (and reddit) it seems like this is happening more than radian wants to admit starting roughly around the beginning of 2023. There was a 30 page thread over on pistol-forum about this.
