I had a HKP7 M8 done by Robar in NP3, and I was really pleased with the effect. Not only the soft gray color, but also the smoothness of the finish as far as parts interacting. Here in the sweaty South, NP3 seemed the better choice since I believe that hard chrome is still susceptible to rust. I aslo had a BHP hard chromed though Heirloom Precision, but I don't know who they use for the refinishing. I think for a carry gun I'd still go with the NP3 just because of where I live. I doubt things are much cooler or dry in the summer in Texas.
