Ok so I picked up a USP .40 for what I know is a steal ($200) but I'm not sure how much of a steal it really was. It's a USP 40 dated '96 with Meprolight night sights, is in very nice condition and has been fired very little. It came with 3 high cap LEO stamped mags. What is it worth?? Thx in advance!

Yeah, A co worker bought it from her original PD when it merged with the Sheriff for $1.00. It sat in her closet for 10 years since she decided to go to a 9mm and had no use for it. I offered her $200 and she took it! I don't know alot about HK's and wasn't sure what it was worth... I figured between 400 and 500........ I recently picked up a USP 45 also.....

definetly not stolen! I ran the serial #'s and I don't think she would be willing to lose her job with the Sheriff's Office over $200! lol she said she couldn't handle a .40.....

you're a LEO? Buying it from a deputy I probably wouldn't worry about it being stolen anyways especially if you know them.

Yeah, I'm not worried... I was just wondering what it was worth.... I've only delt with Glocks my whole career and am now just beginning to aquire other types of handguns....

I own a USPc in .40, but if it is any comparison, those mags alone are worth about $100-120. So figure you got yourself a "no compromise" $100 gun.

You can find really, nice USP 40C mags in $15-$23 dollar range now.

I say sell it now.

Why?

Because once you get used to the way you change magazines with it you'll wonder why no one else has that style mag release.

Oh and if you don't know by now use your trigger finger to release the magazine.
