Hey, I was pondering the purchase of a Kimber 1911 that's a series one. Its pretty clean with a magwell extension on it. Grips seem to be black ebony in a dull polish with no shine.
Overall, its about 90% - what do you think is a reasonable price?
I agree that seems to be about the going rate.
I recently bought a Stainless Series I and paid over a hundred dollars more than that for it.
However, in researching I found the that I did overpay somewhat. (I bought it because I wanted
to avoid the new style lockwork and external extractor and didn't want to spend a lot of time looking for the old style gun.)
Moreover, I guess I put a premium on the 1911s in traditional form.
In any case, the above quote seems right.
