Springfield Armory G.I. Mil-Spec 1911A1 .45

Picked it up on my 21st birthday on the 28th of August, just got pictures of it. Sorry for the crappy quality, all I have right now for photos is a webcam. I would really love to get a Kimber Custom II, but seeing as how that's way out of my price range at the moment, I'll be mroe than happy than to settle for this pretty lil puppy :-). Enjoy.

OooOoOoh I have... Already have over 200 rounds through it :-D

One problem though... Last time I shot it, I could barely hit the target... the rounds were hitting everywhere... I was using regular ball, hollow, and hydrashock ammunition, but still yet I was missing.

I was shooting at a target 25 yards away, and a lot of the rounds I fired hit 5 feet from the target, in different directions. Hopefully it was just bad ammunition (most of which were quite old) but then again I didn't clean the pistol before I fired it. Seeing as how I cleaned it so much it could be a virgin again, I'm very confidend that it'll shoot much more accurately :-).

Notice where the misses are going, if low and to the left, it's you jerking the trigger and acticipating the recoil. I agree with SGB, move up closer if possible and have someone watch you if possible, heck after 25 years shooting 1911s I still anticipate the trigger sometimes, and have to go back to the basics and slow down a bit. At 25 yards a WW2 1911 will put every shot on paper easily as long as the shooter does his part. A new one will do better.
