I would shoot it and just take care of it. They stay new looking for a long time.

Congrats and be sure to post pics when you get it.

Somehow, Glock and the term "Safe queen" don't go together - if it's a Glock then it's a shooter.

Waiting on pics...

Get some high caps at Botach. Some guys dont like that place, but last week I ordered four 13 round mags for my 21,for 12.95 a piece.  I pick em up at UPS tomorrow. 4 shipped for less than 60 bucks. Not bad.

Are you gonna pick it up on 9/11?

It's a Glock, not a freakin' museum piece! Right off the bat you should clean and lube it, then shoot at least 3000 rounds through it in respectful memory of those murdered on 09/11!

And for a 09/11 memorial shoot, good commercial US made ammo...NO WOLF!

The WORLD Trade Center stood for INTERNATIONAL trading. If anything, buy all different manufactured ammo:
Wolf for Russia
S&B for Czech
etc...

Ya know, metroplex, I never thought of that...but they WERE murdered on US soil.

Still, you may, indeed, have a good point. Me? I refuse to shoot Wolf handgun ammo in any of my handguns, OR my ARs, but to each his own I say! (I do shoot Wolf and Barnhaul in my AKs) In any case, he certainly needs to fire at LEAST 2,976 rounds through the pistol to "break it in".

I, also, am picking up a standard G21 tomorrow...with 7, 13rd. mags and will probably buy another case of either WW white box or Federal American Eagle at the show this weekend. I plan to ride this pistol hard and out it up wet! It will become my truck handgun.

Not shooting wolf through your glock is like feeding premium gas to your ford.  It runs fine on regular so your wasting your money.

at 2976 rounds you probably won't even have to clean it.  For cleaning glocks i recommend hot water dish soap and a toothbrush.

Very nice gun. I think it is a great tribute to those we lost.

As beautiful as it is, it's still a Glock and that means it needs to be fired.

That is unless you plan on selling it one day......if you don't plan on ever selling it then why not shoot it. I doubt the value of it will go down in your eyes if you shoot it and if you're never going to sell it then that's all that matters.

Also, may I ask how much above normal price it ran you for the commemerative edition? If not I understand.
