Got a like new Rossi 711 357 mag revolver for a great price. Is there anything I should know about reliabilty? It looks like a solid piece. Plus what type of holster will it fit? Thanks John

I too picked up a Rossi 357 I've put a lot of lead down range through it mostly 38. I don't know how many hundreds of hot 357s it would take but its held up with what I put through it. Its not a K frame for sure or shoots like a Python but it gets the job done. Don't know about a holster either its not my carry gun so usually goes in a multi purposed uncle mikes if it needs one.

Only revolver I've owned that the cylinder locked up on from the factory. I returned it, they lost it, they found it, fixed it, sent it back. The cylinder still locked up. I told it to someone for $75, nobody would buy it.

Just keep shooting, if you have any problems let Rossi know might work it out for you. Mine has just the same amount of play or wiggle on the cylinder as a Smith or ruger so I'm not worried about mine. Its a light frame so 357 gets a little uncomfortable after a while but hand loaded 38s can plug away all day.
