Anybody? Help me out here. Is it normal to damage new sights upon installation? I hate the way it looks on my brand new XDM9. Even the front Dawson FO sight has a punch mark on the side, but not nearly as bad as the rear though. |

Unless it is damaged to where it doesn't glow I wouldn't worry about. I'd just put some cold blue on and shoot it.
I have the $500+ Meprolight USIT and still managed to mark my Heinie sight on my Glock. It happens. |

When I sent my XD45c to my local smith to replace the stock sights with TFO he broke the old ones and the new TFOs. I then sent it off to Gilbert's Gun Shop, and XDTalk.com sponsor, and they are perfect! I should have sent them there first. They do tons of XD sights and look like they should when they do them.

Warrens need to be fitted. those guys just bashed it in with a punch. Have them buy you a new one and install it yourself with a file.

Yeah that would definetly not be acceptable to me. Really destroyed the sides of those sights.

I withdraw my previous statement. They beat the $*@& out of that and need to fix it. Mine were little marks those are scars.

Guess they dont have the sight tool, looks like shit. they could of at least blued it, to hide it more

WOW! they did a great job. That is some fine work could you please tell where they are located....like that I can have them install my sights
 .....................if that was my gun someone would have died in that gunshop........
