Anyone know of a good comfortable paddle holster for a 686 to carry durring the winter under heavy clothes? Uncle Mikes makes them for revlovers but only up to k frames I think. Thanks!

Try the Brothers of the Shield forum and ask if any oldtimers have a pancake holster they are willing to part with.

How long is the barrel on your 686?

According to their fit charts, Safariland makes the 5181 for the 2.5" model and the 518 for the 4" model.  The 5181 is an open top model and the 518 has a snap closed top.  I have a 5181 for my Glock 19 (formerly had one for my Sig P228) and think it is the gold standard for non-custom paddle holsters.

Hope this helps!
