Hey guys, I'm looking at possibly picking up a P99 in the near future, and I was wondering if you guys could post up some pictures of your new and old framed P99's, and possibly explain the trigger versions to me, mainly because I'm lazy (and I have no idea where to even start trying to truly understand what the variants mean).  Also, are there any tricks you guys have for lightening the trigger?  Any threaded barrels available?  The P99 is a great firearm and I dont think it gets enough attention, so here ya go guys, abuse it

Thanks
Scott

AS trigger is a DA/SA with a third forward position when the pistol is loaded. A light pull brings the trigger back to the normal SA position.
QA trigger is pre cocked stiker like a Glock. Same pull for every shot.
P990 is a DAO.
According to some folks at www.waltherforum.com cutting a few coils off the striker spring will lighten the trigger pull.
For threaded barrels try www.barsto.com  or www.jarvis-custom.com .
Lastly, this is a great site for P99 info, P99 Faq

The P99 FAQ link in the post above is one awesome sight, I learned quite a bit on the P99 from there.

See, I like the newer framed ones myself - I like the 2004 frame...

I got another one 2 months ago - a 2005. At first, I didn't like the extended mag release lever. But ya know what - after shooting it a few times at the range, it is even easier to use than the older mag release lever.

I've had my 99s hard chromed - here is a pic:
