I am picking up a NIB P7M8 tomorrow and putting it away. I am after part suggestions and accessories I should pick up that may not be available in 3 to 5 years.

These are the links of accessories and holsters so far: Mags & Holsters

2. http://personalsecurityzone.com/cgi-win/order/prodlist.exe/PSZ/? Template=ProdDetail.htm&ProductID=18984

3. http://gunnersalley.zoovy.com/product/H720

4. http://www.calssportingarmory.com/HK%20Pistol%20Accessories.htm

Where and what pistol parts should I want to also order?

As I fellow P7M8 owner, I cannot imagine H&K not having parts available in 3-5 years or 30-50 years, for that matter.

Aside from that, other than perhaps the firing pin asy, I can't recall too much I'd worry about.

Keep a spare firing pin bushing and drop safety spring on hand.

While HK has stopped production they have not stopped support. The P9S has been out of production for ages but yet you can still get parts fairly easily for them, especially the most wear prone parts. From what I understand HK plans on full parts support for the P7 series for at least 10 years. After that it might go to support for only the most breakage prone parts but as Bob said, I have no doubt you are looking at least 30 years before you really have to start scrounging.

Boy you guys are tough...

I really think it would be a nice to shoot it... but since it would just be a plinker to me... I am going to stow it away as a collectors item.

On a side note this looks to be the best place to get parts for a P7M8 on the web.

I had a P7M8 a few years ago, I loved it, I ended up selling it because I needed to pay off some bills , I just bought another one a few months ago and saving it to pass it down, Im gonna get another one more then likely a refurb and shoot the hell out of it, maybe a PSP. I love HK's!
