I guess I am in the minority as well.  I have two Compacts and have never felt like the grips were too small.  Perhaps that's because over the years I have CC-ed a G27, G43, and now a P365...so the standard Sig Compact grip seems roomy to me.

I also prefer the compact grip for my carry gun. I filed a couple tiny spots off at the mag well which allows a Taran tactical +3 baseplate to fit with a 15 round magazine. The overall length of the grip at the front is the same as a full size but at the heel of the grip is about .25" less than a full size. The smaller flare on the mag well also helps it conceal.

Smaller profile where it matters and I still have 17+1.

I like the Compact size very much. It offers me a little bit more concealability than a 17rd grip module while being perfect for my hands. To me the X-Compact is the perfect EDC. Not shitting on anything else. Its just my personal opinion.

Mine came with two 15rd mags and I have not bought any more. They are my carry mags. Again just a little bit smaller and easier to hide. One is in the gun and the other is on my person. Every other mag is 17 or 21.

Personal preferences are perfectly understandable, I didn’t mean to denigrate the Compact grip modules in general. Just commenting that in comparison the Fullsize grips aren’t that much more difficult to conceal in practice

@AR-Davis

Sorry for not answering your email directly but if had this question asked either in PM or email a few times and since Safariland’s site can be a bit convoluted at times I figure it will just be easier to answer your question here so anyone else in the future will have a reference as well.

I bought my holster as a level II paddle and then added the quick locking system kit and the mid ride belt loop. This way I can move my holster around my gear and different belt set ups I have, (I have three, one set up for a shotgun, PCC and AR).

The part numbers for the multi cam covered holster, QLS and belt mount are listed below. I realize it shows a black holster but if you look at the options it is condura multi cam covered. Also note, it took almost 40 days for me to get my holster. These are covered by hand so it takes a lot longer.

I’m also using the nub mod on my ALS holsters. It’s a simple product but makes the feel of the Safariland level better and easier to tag.

Yep. I’ve dumped all my compact modules and mags. All of my P320s moving forward will have the full size 17 rnd grip. The difference is very small but gaining an extra two rounds per mag isn’t.

Side EDC changed. I finally replaced all the rear parts with coyote PVD parts. Slide cover, extractor pin and sear housing. It blends in better IMO.

Yeah. Interestingly enough they make a black oxide version of that tensioning pin now.

I ordered my PVD parts from Midwest gun works and Sig. Unfortunately MGW is out of stock on the PVD extractor pin right now.

I’ve reached a similar, but different conclusion. I’ve concluded that I have no need for a P320 at all. The 365 XL is unquestionably the best conceal carry pistol that I’ve ever had. The accuracy, capacity and ergonomics(after adding the Pro Ledge base plates and HandleItGrips) are perfect for me to carry AIWB, so I will be conceal carrying the XL in perpetuity.

When I open carry, I carry God’s caliber. I’ve been shooting handguns since I was a child, so I can shoot .45 just as easily as 9mm and a double stack .45 grip feels really good in my hand.

I don’t keep my finger on the pulse of the used prices, so I don’t know if this is a decent deal, but this came up on the Northwest Firearms classifieds this morning. He’s a solid member and it looks like he’d take a little less than he’s asking, but he may not want to ship. Northwest Firearms has pretty good classifieds.

I have Black and Tan already. They are sitting in the parts box. It sounds weird but the mix of colors I like. I put myM18 back to all black parts on the tan grip and slide. It just looks good to me with a 2 tone.

The P365 is a great pistol and while I love mine, the P320 is a combat pistol. For that reason I will never get rid of them. They shoot better than the P365 because of their size IMO. Fortunately we live in a place where we don’t have to only choose one.

I live in a place where I may have a confrontation with two and four legged creatures on any given day. A place that goes years between visits by any type of law enforcement. So, for me personally, 9mm is a town gun and, IMO, the XL is the quintessential town gun. But, I prefer .45 when I’m at home in the forest. I carry 46 rounds of .45 with the FNX and that makes me feel more warm and fuzzy inside than carrying 52 rounds of 9mm. If I can’t fight my way back to my rifle with 46 rounds, then it’s just my time to shuffle off this mortal coil.

I have just reached the conclusion that I personally have no use for a larger 9mm than the XL.

Thank you for the info it was very helpful ,I did finally get a holster  it was the 6360RDS-7502 SIG-P320 C  for TRL-1 X300U LIGHT  in the coyote brown mid ride
since I went with the Olight Valkyrie light I could not find any listings for that one ,however the Olight DOES work for this holster it slides right in and fits fine ,I also mounted the Halosun 507CX2 and did the wilson combat module ,I will try to post some pictures later if I can

Really happy with the Floodlight holster. It has proven itself to be plenty durable for concealed carry and comfortable. If you are looking for an IWB option for the P320 with a TLR 1 or X300, it might be worth checking out.

Right on.

Am I the only one here that outright prefers irons over a 507K on the 365? By every metric I can measure, I have better/more consistent results without the red dot.

Second, anyone got a holster recommendation for an Icarus hybrid pro with a TLR7A? Been waiting two months on a holster from Triad.

P365 update. I added a mag guts +2 kit to the 12 round mag for my standard P365. The kit goes together well and easily expands the capacity by 2 rounds for a total of 14 in the mag. This gives me 14+1 from the draw plus two back up 15 round mags for a total of 45 rounds in a tiny little package.

I ran 300 rounds through the 12 round mag with the mag guts kit installed with zero malfunctions. The ammo used was 147gr +P Federal HST. The kit adds a tiny amount of length to the floor plate but in my opinion the length added is almost unnoticeable. This is the pistol I’ve decided to send to WC next month to have the slide tweaked, GG trigger installed, WC tritium battle sights installed, (the factory X-rays are too thicc for my liking), and an Ion bond finish. I have an Integral Defense Group laser stippled module on the way to hold me over until WC decides to make a P365 module.

Ordered a subcompact grip frame and 6-round mags for my .45 ACP P320 from CDNN, and mounted my compact upper.

There's a small gap at the nose, where the slide meets the dust cover.  No biggie.

My pinky dangles with the 6-rounder.

9 and 10-rounders fit fine.

I like the rounded trigger guard and no rail.

With the subcompact mag in, it's about the same size as my 7-shot .357 snubnose.

What are you using/planning to use for a holster? Does the subcompact grip module make a huge difference in holster fit?

9 and 10-rounders fit fine.

I like the rounded trigger guard and no rail.

With the subcompact mag in, it's about the same size as my 7-shot .357 snubnose.

Best,

That is something you dont see every day. I like it alot.

What are you using/planning to use for a holster? Does the subcompact grip module make a huge difference in holster fit?

Thanks!

It slips into the cheapie Sig paddle holster easy enough.  I haven't bought any specific holsters for it, but it seems to have the same footprint as a compact grip module.  I will do some experimenting and report back.

Best,
JBR
