There's one at the shop for around $350. It feels good in the hand, points well, and 10 rounds of 45 in such a small package is nothing to scoff at.

Anybody know how reliable the gun is?

Is it a Turd with a gold plating, or is it a good dependable gun?

I'd do a search in it but GB has yet to turn it on.

You get what you pay for. Then again Taurus offers one of the best warranties in the business. If you ever want a high-cap good luck. I would personally pay the extra money for a glock.

The 45 Glocks are too big, and I'm not interested in the 45GAP to have a smaller package, so no thanks.

Anybody have experience with one that can comment on thier reliability and overall perceptions?

I had one it wasnt the PRO though.

All I can say is leave it in the case. The gun was a HUGE piece of shit! You would be better carrying rocks in your pockets.

Trigger pull sucked.
The thing damn near blew up on me one time when I was shooting CCI Blazers in it. The guide rod would pop out the end of the slide all the time. The frame cracked. The mag release broke one time.

I wouldnt recommend it. Now you might be ok with a 111 I havent heard much bad about them besides shitty trigger pull. But DONT get the 145

Thanks guys, but you're preaching to the chior

I already own 3 1911s and love them.

was intrigued by the 10 round and polymer features, mainly for carry.

My 1911s are heavy to lug around.

The PT145 is a huge POS.. nasty recoil , horrible trigger and thick ( being a double stack ). My friend bought one a year or so ago and i shot it a few times and so did he. He sold it shortly ther after and bought a glock. If you want to spend $400 or so on one that's your call. Personally i would wipe my butt with one.

If you want a poly frame 45ACP check out Cobra Enterprises, Patriot 45. Looks about the same as a Taurus PT-145 but S.O.G. has em' for $189.00 dealer so by the time you pay your dealers fees, ect. it should run ya' about $250.00 out the door. Use the $100 you saved for a holster and ammo.

You want a realiable ,inexpensive polymer .45 ... go with the S&W P99. I don't own one but I haven't heard anything bad about them and they are cheaper than Glocks.

I own a Walther P99 in .40 and the S&W P99 is similar.
