So I was loitering around my local shop today and a fella comes in to pick up his brand new Sig 226 elite 9mm.
While waiting for this pistol he eyes a new 8" .500 s&w mag. His sig was $970 out the door, this .500 was $650 OTD.
This fella all but pisses rainbows and offers the shop owner a straight trade. The owner at first declines telling the man
"dude your GIVING me like $300 no way" The shop owner tells the man, sell your gun and i'll hold this revolver for you.
The man is adamant about getting the revolver now. So the owner finally makes the deal.
After the fella leaves I ask the owner to take a look at the Sig.
OMG.... At first I thought blah another thick ass handled gun just like my damn glock with a bunch more buttons and levers, i'll pass.
But then I started manipulating the controls... The slide release so... beautifully placed! The decocker was so smooth and well
positioned... The shop owner tells me I can have it for what he had the revolver priced at. $650 OTD...
I currently am broke as shit and would have to sell my 4th gen G17 to make the purchase....
WTF should I do? I enjoy my glock as its grip is slightly smaller. but i have to reposition the gun in my hand to manipulate the slide
release. I do not have to do this with the Sig though... How is it's overall reliability? I know my glock can go in the mud and sand and water.
How does the Sig hold up? How complex is the take down? A lot of newbie questions I know, but don't know squat about Sigs... Help me
please....
