What made you go with the DO vs the RDS holster?

I didn't really pick one over the other. I have a 6360RDS for my G34, picked this up because it was available at retail and I like having a holster for each gun.

What do you mean by "actual Roland"?

You mean Chuck Pressburg's personal handgun?

So his personal and also the concept in use w/ units, like the photo above. I've seen a handful and a 17 used by JSOC, just wanted to see if anyone had more photos.

Finally got to put some rounds down range with this thing.

Still have to do some trigger work on it but its my first comp’d handgun and wow does it shoot flat.  Have not played with the recoil spring yet but it may get better.

My Faux-Land especial! I like it, runs well, shoots straight, and does the trick. Needs a rezero now that I added the new Zev barrel and Comp. Had the Six Second mount and went to buy a G17. Ended up getting an MOS slide in the box marked as a regular 17. They had already run the check and put the serial number on the transfer so I got to keep it, not a bad score. I'd like to get a different RMR for it as the light totally washes out the current RMR and its pretty dim at night on its own.

You can secure a baby chemlight to the top of the fiber optics on the RMR to cause it to bloom and be easier to see.     Ghetto fix but it works

I have done quite a bit of research before I even started my build and I am well aware I need 124g or 147g ammo or to change the recoil spring to a different one to run low pressure ammo reliably.

So in this time of BS and ammo issues I need help, I have built a g19.5FS Roland Special and I have a small pile of 124G ammo and an even smaller pile of gold dot 124g HP

KKM comp and barrel
Jagerwerks rmr cut irons forward
RMR06
X300ultra

Everything else is 100% stock, In order to run the trash ammo I can find what recoil spring would yall suggest I try so as I dont waste resources to see if its reliable?
Also What trash ammo have you found that can run in a RS of this kind? My RSA is as shiny as when I got the gun so I actually may run into issues with 124g nato ammo that I have.

I finished my build and the damn morons out there started hording ammo just to price gouge us later like we see now as they did with TP and hand sanitizer last year. So what are yall doing in this time of bullshit to keep your roland running now and in the event of full collapse what can I do?

I do know here pics required so I really hope the link works

@AliasSLH

I have run around 200 rounds through mine, all with 115gr. It has ran fairly well, with two FTF's, one being the very first round.

I'm shooting 115gr because it's the most readily available ammo right now, and keeping the higher grain stuff for defensive carry.

ETA: I'm running a stock spring.

This is a placeholder for the Zev OZ9C Fauxland Build I'm doing - waiting on FedEx to deliver my Zev V2 Comp.

On-topic: I have a carry comp setup that performs great. The single port comp directs a ton of flame out the top when shooting dirty Winchester 9mm NATO, which sucks when shooting under NODs, but it's not bad with other ammo.

The comp and barrel are from MAC Defense. It uses a proprietary barrel that has no threads. Due to this, the single port comp makes a 19 the exact length as a G17. They make a 3-port comp that makes it slightly shorter than a G34.

This setup might be a good option for our brothers in ban states who want to err on the side of caution, as there are no threads and the comp sure as hell doesn't suppress flash.
