Just thought I'd share.... ( I have changed the displayed video )

Very effective while using both eyes wide open. The secondary image you typically get from your non shooting eye... is gone....While trying the sights at the show , I was truly impressed.
Very easy to get used to.

His website.........http://shootwithbotheyesopen.com/

Just so everyone knows... I have absolutely no vested interest at all with this company or the person that developed this.

Just a really effective sight system. Very innovative, and well thought out.

The gentleman was just starting out, so his website is a little "lite" ... but these sights are very intriguing to say the least.

If you are looking for a better ( IMHO ) , easier to use sights... I know what you are thinking, How can Handgun sights be any easier.... Watch the second video ,and you will see.

?????????

Been doing this professionally (instructor) long before 3 dot sights became common.

I have never had to deal with "two sets of three dots".  Also "no having to mess with training that eye (sic)" the non dominate eye.

(Sounds like it is meant to be a "short cut" to muscle memory to bring the sights up to the dominate eye when shooting with both eyes open.

I don't know if there is such a short cut.  BUT maybe the designer has found a way!

Shorter sight radius... typically means greater error down range with sight misalignment.

Not poo pooing the sights... just think the concept might have been described better in the first video. (Second video was added while I typed this post. Second video does a good job of explaining the concept.

I'd love to see an extensive "test" of the sights and the concept.

Kinda makes me think of the "gutter snipe" sights back in the early/mid 1970s.

It is interesting.  I might buy a set to play with.  My wife wants to learn to shoot now and this might be an aid for inside the house distances.   (Coming up on our 5 year anniversary.)

Occluded Eye Gunsight is nothing new.

Trijicon has made them for years and can still be found.

The Trijicon Reflex WILL become an OEG if you use the polarizing filter to accentuate the dot in certain lighting conditions.

You can see parrallax issues if you move to a primarily OEG setup for aiming because it is a basic trig function of the off set of your eyes merging images thanks to your brain.

It is marginal though.   Tested it with my reflex on an accurized JP enterprises rifle.    Zeroed for sighting with my primary eye and then shooting with an OEG method where left eye sees target/right eye sees nothing but dot, my groups shifted.   Did it years ago but I seem to recall a 3-4 inch shift.    Not a big deal for a battle rifle and man sized targets.

Visiting the web site I dont know what the damn purpose of the handgun is for.

I shoot both eyes open and have for 20+ years.    Not that hard to train eye dominance.    If I am on qual range I usually do weak hand fire with my left eye and only need to squint my dominant eye slightly.    Still plenty fast, my primary focus is on safe switching between hands and clearing obstacles from cover.

That thing is a gimmick in my opinion.

DasRonin, I swapped the videos... the new one is better at showing the sights.

And I agree you mastering sights is not hard... but this is ( to me for sure ) something new.

I showed it to my wife, and she really liked them. She said it made her use the sights "properly".... ( she was a good guinea pig, since she doesn't enjoy shooting as much as I )

And yes the sight radius is shorter.... I still ordered some up. My bigger concern was finding a holster that will work with them.

I just want you to know you turned my idea for a Christmas present for my 25 year old son in Kansas upside down.

I have two Next Level Training laser training pistols. One with red laser and one with Green laser. I was going to give the red laser model to my son for Christmas.

However... I now plan to put one of the Triple Occluder sights on one for my wife to begin her goal of learning to shoot.

Which now makes me wonder what to give my son.  The SIRT pistol was no money out of pocket, and right now I am supporting a number of Doctors and making presumably car payments for them,

Drat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just received my sight early this evening.

If anyone wonders... the sight is made of aluminum (I initially thought it was plastic) and after beating it on to my SIRT laser training pistol with an aluminum punch, I would guess hard anodized. The "rub" marks from raw aluminum sight punch wiped off with a paper towel.

ETA... though the SIRT trainers resemble a Glock, my Glock sight pusher would not work... so I had to do the WECSOGS beat it on with a punch and hammer.  Did not leave a mark!
