sry I lied not realy a 1911 question I am interested in building a 1911 style pistol...either way Im going to build one.. what I want to do to save money and myself a headache, Id like to build it off the Llama frame and slide...its almost brand new I inherited it from my grandfather how well would barrells beaver tail hammer's  all the good stuff match up if at all.... any help would be great

Your better off leaving your grandfathers Lama the way it is and shoot it once in a while and start from scratch on the 1911 or get a SA milspec or G.I. for a base gun. Just my two cents worth.
