I just purchased a used but in great shape Glock 26.  I have been able to find the dates of manufacture on my other Glocks but am having trouble finding the D.O.B. for my 26.  The serial # CCTxxxUS.  Can somebody help me find when it was made?

Glocktalk has a long-running thread that gives dates of manufacture by serial numbers.  You might want to check in over there.

I searched there with no luck.

According to one of my friends who has never failed me yet he says it was made December 1996.  He said they are somewhat uncommon because it has the smooth finger grooves.  I believe that would be a gen 2.5 but not positive.  Can't wait to shoot it.

Congrats.

I believe a pic would be in order.

I don't know how to post a pic on my phone but I will post one when I get home.

3 mags and a bullshit holster came with it for $452.7? Out the door. Decent deal for my neck of the woods. Still has the copper lube in it.

Nice!  I just got one for the wife for Christmas.

Had her out shooting it the other day.  Perfect deep CCW gun.  Looks hilarious with a 33 round Glock mag sticking out of it though.

Nice! Looks like a single pin G26. I have a single G17 but my two year old 26 is the new two pin.

I believe that all sub compact Glocks are 3 pin.  There is another pin on the gun but its hard to see in the pic.

Yep, there's never been a two-pin G26.

I guess I better pull that thing out and count. I might be missing one and wouldn't know it.

How do you like yours?  Is there any difference than the gen 3 other than the checkered grooves and the extractor?

Nice pistol, I have the 27 for my carry. Just added the GAP floor plates for easier draw, plus it makes my bottom finger not feel like its going to fall off.

I like it, but when the time comes to put on a gun I always reach for either the 19 or the S&W 442 instead of the 26, so it's rather neglected these days.  Maybe I'll carry it this week.

No other differences that I know of.

That's funny, I have a 19 for my house gun and also have a 442.
