Hi, I just found my uncles old S&W model 58 41 Rem. Magnum. He isn't ever going to use it again. Either when he gives it to my parents/me (I'm 15) or passes away (He's in bad health), will we have to regester it or something? Or do we have to turn it in somewhere? Thanks, Mike S.

Unfortunately, CA has tabout the most convoluted gun laws anywhere so I can't give you much advice. Check your local laws.

That said, you are looking at one of the greatest handguns that was ever made and in perhaps the most underrated calibers ever. Before I turned something like that in I'd move!

Ya, it's a really great gun. Nice and hefty!

not only would i move, i did.  if that is not one damn fine revolver, why are so many ppl slobbering for it, self included.

hang on to this gun if at all possible.  it will serve you well for many decades to come.
