Not sure where to start so I figured there would be some knowledge around Arfcom.

I have a buddy who just got his stamps for a couple MP5 SD's. He is not super internet savvy so he asked me to check around. He is trying to determine what loading is typically considered the quietest when shooting suppressed.

Apparently he is convinced that he read somewhere one specific weight/type projectile netted the quietest performance.

I am not at all familiar with these, and when I shoot his, it will be the first time I have shot one. He is an experienced reloader and is set up to do whatever, but is just looking for some advice that will lead him to the best performance when running suppressed.

Can you guys help me help him out?

Ammo choice should not make much of a difference.  These guns are not designed to use sub-sonic ammunition.
