I would`nt sell it short.....that`s a damn good carry gun....problem is...if you`re looking to make $...might be better to do what you said.............

The .44 spec is agreat self-defense caliber, easy recoil, accurate, and packs a good punch. Hint ear mark it for the wife since its easy to shoot and better knock down than a .38, she'll be happy and wont complain when you "need " another firearm

In the past I've built a couple of neat carry .44 Spec on Charter Bulldogs for friends as ankle or pocket guns.
I was planning on doing a little work (sights, action job, maybe some frame contouring, etc.) and this would be a trail/backpacking gun. Got a half dozen carry guns; although I only use 2 of them. I've decided that I need a HK USP 40 with pre-ban hi-caps for 3 Gun Matches this summer, instead of the Colt 1991A1 I have been shooting. |

She's got a 4" Diamondback that's loaded with 125 grain Nyclad HP's that is HER gun. After going through a dozen or so guns, it's the one she likes and can SHOOT, so that avenue's already blocked.

I checked a couple of Gun Lists (damn gotta remember throw those out) $ 375 & $ 395 like new $ 420 in box unfired.
