Does anyone know anything about it?  I want to build one up that is similar, but have yet to find out what custom parts were used on it, etc.  I hear that it is actually a .38 Super instead of a .45.  Any truth to that?  Also does anyone have any good closeup pictures of it?  thanks

I think it is a 38 the way I remember it, it is a commander with a compensator thats why it doesn't look that long.
I will try to find more info on it when I get home.

What I have found out so-far

Colt 1911 two-tone Commander in .38 Super
Bar-Sto 4" compensated barrel
Bo-mar low profile sights
Ed Brown "memory groove" beavertail
visible parts are "hardstormed"  WTF?
made by Mac McDonald.

SO...I wonder who made the other parts that went into it?

thumb safety?
trigger?
slide stop?
hammer?
mag chute?
etc????????

Anyone know?
