When Para first came out I got a steel frame and had my own 1911 built using a .45 acp Wilson 2" full profile comp kit.  It used a threaded barrel and a gunsmith had to install it.  The whole kit was about $350.00

OK here is the question...Where can I get another one?  I've been looking around the net the past couple of weeks and I can't find what I'm looking for.

I never thought that they would be hard to get.

I guess nobody likes the full profile comps anymore.

Wilson stopped making the a LONG time ago.  Of them numerous comp makers that used to be around, most dropped them for a serious lack of interest.  

Of the people that still make comps, they charge a lot more than they used to due to the lack of demand.  Your options for a pre-built comp are few.  There are a few smiths still building custom 1 off comps, but they are pricey.
