Picked it up today.  It was listed as Very Good to Excellent, with nightsights, all black for $389.  The finish is about 97%, the barrel has quite the pronounced Sig Smile on it, indicating its been shot a bit, but you wouldn't know it to look at the thing.  Very minimal holster wear.  Decent night sights, though not as bright as new ones, they still glow enough that I can see them in the dark.  I got 4 extra mags (the gun came with one) from Top Gun Supply whose pricing and service are both OUTSTANDING.  All in all, shipped and transferred, I've got a little over $500 in the thing.  I'd consider this to be an AMAZING value if it shoots as well as my P228 does.  The DA pull on the P229 is far better than the P228 as well.  After the mandatory range report, if all goes well, this will go in the carry lineup.  357 Sig is cooool.

Pics to be posted soon.  If you want a Sig, CDNN is a good place to get one.  I've had good experiences with them 3 times now.  And their prices are unbeatable.

Here's one of my P228 by herself that I took for the hell of it.

I've been eyeing the Sigs on CDNN also.  How much did they charge you for shipping?  Sounds like you got an excellent deal too.

The 229 in .357 Sig might be my next pistol.  Please post a range report when you can.  I need a bit more time behind one to see if I can get used to that grip.  The bump on the left side is a little annoying to me and the grip feels a little too fat.  Can you tell I shoot a 220?  I love the .357 Sig round.  I've got an EFK conversion barrel for my XD and that thing is fun.  There's nothing like taking it to an indoor range and making more noise than some of the people with big-bore revolvers.  MJD

I got UPS overnight shipping, and a $5 cleaning kit (another of which came with the gun, woohoo), my total as $430.  So shipping was $35 I guess..Worth it to me, I ordered Friday morning, and was holding it Monday.  Now I just have to make it to tomorrow so I can SHOOT it!

bump for pics

Nearly forgot my range report.  Its a laser gun.  I flinched a little at first, but after I got used to the new trigger it was great.  I love the round, ver very accurate and LOUD!  Ammo is going to be a bitch to keep in stock though.  I ordered a .40 barrel this morning.

Nice Pics!
Yes the 357 round is rather expensive. WWB 40 165gr value pack isn't too bad.
Thats why I practice with a 226 9mm for about $11/100.

She's a nice one.  Great shape.  Check Georgia Arms for their "canned heat" .357 Sig ammo.  It can be as little as $9/50 if you order in quantity.  MJD

What is this "Sig Smile" of which you speak?

The pattern of wear on the blueing of the barrel that comes from being shot.  Kinda smily shaped.

+1 for CDNN.  I just got a P226 new with minor blems for a great price.  $100 less for few minor scratches that I would eventually put in the pistol myself is a great deal.

That is an incredible deal.  You got it for about $150 less than I paid for my used one at a local gun shop.

What year was yours manufactured?

Great catch!

It's funny ... I was reading over at sigforums.com about CDNN and 90% of the posts there were people complaining about CDNN.  People on this board seem to be very pleased with CDNN.

It was made in '97, had it checked the other day.  Came through Sig as a used police gun in '04, wasn't a CPO.  Not that I care, it shoots like a dream.  I just got the .40 barrel from topgunsupply.com, and some lasergrips as well, can't wait to try it out with the laser installed.

Over on sigforum.com there was an issue a while back about CDNN, everytime a new catalog would come out half the threads would have CDNN in the title.  There are some folks there (and here too I'm sure) who have had back luck with them, but I am not one of those folks.  I've had great luck, and will continue to do business with them.

OrdnanceOutsellers.com is a good place for NIB Sigs, some of the best prices I've seen.  They are currently out of CPO's.

I recently bought a 1996 production Glock 17 from CDNN which was sold to me as "test-fired only, not issued by an LE agency."  With night sights, it was $412 including shipping.  It was a great deal.  I would definitely buy from CDNN again.
