It isnt the TRP so it doesnt have the front strap checkered.

I have a SA 1911 that I have been shooting for 19 years.  Good Job.  Get as much ammo and range time as possible.  Use good mags and don't let anyone "chop" on it.  It will serve you well for a very long time.

Congratulations.

That was my first 1911 too.  It is still my favorite.  I have since added a Kimber Tactical Custom II and Springer GI.  I haven't decided on 1911 #4 yet

My next 45ACP will be a (OLDER) Smith & Wesson Model 25 or 625  Been looking for years for the right one.....LOL  My revolvers are the only thing that come close to shooting my SA 1911.

Great gun, it's USA made and the fit and finish is very good. he
They are all stamped Geneseo IL But right in front of the trigger gaurd it has made in Brazil on the Brazillian ones. It looks like the Made in Brazil is painted on also.

If its made in USA its a great pistol. If its made in brazil its a good pistol that may be great someday.

Nice pistol.     I love every one of my 1911's equally.....however, for some reason, my springfields hold a place dear to my heart.

Very nice choice; time to tune the trigger and shoot the shit out of her.
