Right out of the shipping material

Some Problem Areas.

Couple of Farther back shots.

It is having a custom finish put on it right now I am not going full Tu-Tone, but the Slide will be stainless and the bottom is going to be nitron finished in black. I have allready ordered a Factory Box Manual, cable lock and cleaning kit as well as 4 Highcap mags for it. It is KE dated and Stamped Made in W. Germany

The refinish job what do you all think

Keep those lame 10rd mags for the followers. You can get a +2 capacity in normal 13rd mags by putting post ban followers in them. The P228 is the best!

Well I changed my mind on the Finish. I wanted a little more custom look but I didn't want colors So the finish is going to be Stainless frame and a black slide.

Looks great. I love the reverse 2- tone

ETA: Was that refinished in Duracoat???. I was thinking of doing the reverse 2 tone to my 220

It was Teflon coated. I also had the barrel reblued

Looks good, how is that teflon supposed to hold up to rust?

It is supposed to hold up fairly well. That is why I chose it.

Man, when I first saw the GOTM P229 with reverse twotone I thought how good it would look on my P228, which is normal twotone. You beat me to it! Looks awesome!!!!

Great looking 228. Mine is from 1989 and I like the worn look and plan on leaving it alone.
