So I recently purchased a Glock 43 for daily carry. I absolutely loved shooting it at the range but the only thing I am disappointed with is the ammo capacity. I am looking to get some magazine extensions and reliability is of the utmost importance for me. I really only want a +1 but it seems like most (if not all) +1's utilize the old magazine spring and I've read reports of the spring not being strong enough for 7 rounds of heavy duty ammo (which makes sense).

So, I am open to +2 extensions that come with new springs as well. I know Taran Tactical makes what seems like a nice one but at a high price. I am looking at the Vicker's one as it seems to be well-priced and according to reports, makes the mag hold 8 rounds with some room to spare so that it can be inserted into the gun without too much pressure (unlike the Taran Tacticals, apparently).

I was wondering if anyone had any insight on which is the best extension to go with?

Thanks!

I've used both, kept having problems with the Taran even after I got the new spring from them. Had problems with it jamming if I had a round in the chamber and and Taran magazine fully loaded with the extra 2 rounds. Only loaded one extra, no problems. Once again, I was using their newest spring update

Have since moved to using the Vickers Tactical, very impressed with price. Still running them through my testing period before I used them exclusively. So far, so good.

For me the g43 is supposed to be light so I don't feel like I'm carrying it in the summer. So the tarren extension was never an option. I chose the vickers for there reputation and because even though I wanted a small light gun I couldn't get over how shitty I was with the tiny grip. The gun feels so much better with a plus two. Unfortunately I haven't shot the vickers extension yet but if it works I'll definitely be getting more of them.

I have several hundred rounds through my mags with Pearce +1 extensions with zero malfunctions.
Everthing I have heard has been positive with these ,I have heard of no reliability issues.

I use a standard mag with the Mag Guts kit for 7+1 and a spare mag with Vickers +2

No issues with either after 2-300 rounds

I've never used them,  but there's HYVE technologies +2 mag extensions. They look nice and priced at $22.

I have the Taran exstenions. Honestly, for the +2, I can only get 7  rounds in them. I had bought the mags and the +2 extensions combo from Taran tactical's website. Also bought the +1s and I can still only get 6 rounds in the mag. But oh well, I still like them anyways.

This.... have some for mine, my parents, and my neighbors G43s and they are +1s that do not extend the magazine over the stock finger extended one.  I do wish they would add a little more weight but for the price hard to beat IMO.

After several hundred rounds I've had no issues with my Taran Tactical +2s.

I have had zero issues with my Taran +2's (250rds total, 2 mags) but another member here, goldeyeslayer, reported his +2's refused to function, that they would nosedive the top round when fully loaded.  YMMV

I don't have several hundred rounds through mine, but I'm very pleased with them.
No reports that I have seen of spring issues.

I was looking into the HYVE Technologies +2 basepads pretty seriously but didn't see anything on the website about stronger springs, so I shot them an email and got a reply that they do not include a new spring with their basepads.  That was enough to not be interested in grabbing a couple.

I use the Vickers tactical +2, I have had no issues what so ever.

I have run about 300 rounds through them.

I may check with Crux Ord.

I've had good luck with the Pearce +1's also.  I've run at least 200 rnds through two mags.

I've got 2 Hyve +2 extensions and both mags have run without a malfunction, although they are still low on round count. I also don't have any problem getting 8 in the mag.

The Peach +1 is the best balance of size, weight, and price IMHO. The fit is perfect, locks in nice and tight, uses the original spring, and is just big enough to load an extra round and give your pinky something to hold.

I also use Taran +2 and +3 as spares and have been 100% so far.
