Guys i need some help. I just got a used 1911 micro compact. It has the Fixed NOVAK'S. I have been shooting it for about 2 weeks every day.I get good groups. The thing shoots low ever time. I have shot it from 10 feet out to 20 yards. Low ever shot. Do i need to get a Adj. rear sight or try something else? I have tried many types of ammo, all about the same. LOW,Its making me nut's. I do have this trouble with my XD 40 also. Not as bad, but it shoots about 3-4 in. low at 20 yards. I'm trying to greatly improve my pistol accuracy this winter. Trying to shoot at least 50-100 rnds a week, or more.

i think they are zeroed at 25yds.  you can send it to sa, theyll put a shorter front sight on.  or use an adj rear, thats what i did.  novak makes an adj rear, but it requires a little milling.  i been thinking about it though its real smooth.  secure.netsolhost.com/484978.494604/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=ricekintama&Category_Code=sfadj

Maybe it is just me, but most pistols seem to be zero'd on the dot, not the top of the front sight.  So, if I use the top of the sight, like a rifle, I will shoot low.  If I use the dot, then I am right on.
